Trainer Architects

In each State/UT, 2 to 4 State Resource Institutes (leading architecture colleges) will be identified by the State Government depending upon size of the States. The State Resource Institutes will further identify four or more faculty members from the Department of Architecture to be trained in aspects related to earthquake safe building design and construction. These faculty members will undergo a one week training programme at NRI . The trained faculty members of SRI will be the nodal points in the state for earthquake risk mitigation activities and in achieving the objectives and targets of the programme. The SRIs will work with the State Administration to assist them to modify their building bylaws and to make it compliant to the BIS codes for seismically safe construction. These SRIs will train practicing architects in seismically safe constructions.
