Guidelines

The Institute admits a number of Interns every year. The following guidelines are followed for admitting the interns:

  1. Students/ researchers from recognized colleges, universities, training and professionals institutions etc., are admitted as interns.
  2. A maximum of 5 interns are admitted at a time.
  3. Each intern has to submit a Work Plan and is attached with a faculty member according to the areas of their interest and Work Plan. The concerned Faculty Member shall be responsible for the supervision of the work assigned to the individual intern.
  4. Interns are provided working space and access to the Library, Computer Centre, Internet and Reading Room of the Institute.
  5. Interns are provided opportunities to attend/ facilitate the training programmes, workshops, conferences and seminars of the Institute conducted during the period of internship.
  6. The Institute does not provide any boarding, lodging or stipend facilities to the interns.
  7. The period of internship shall be usually for a period of 4 to 8 weeks..
  8. Interns shall be expected to submit Study Report on the conclusion of the internship.

Selection Process

  1. The applications received for Internship and the proposals for study are reviewed by the concerned Faculty Member and the final decision regarding admission is taken by the Executive Director on the basis of the qualification, experience of the candidates, and the merit of the study proposal and the recommendation of the concerned faculty member.
