Internship Programme
The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) offers both non-stipend and stipend-based internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students of recognized universities and institutes. These internships are designed to engage young minds in the field of disaster risk reduction and build their capacities through hands-on learning.
Non-Stipend Internship: Open throughout the year based on the requirement of NIDM, with a maximum limit of 20 interns at any given time. Eligible applicants include students pursuing in final-year of graduation or students in any year/semester of postgraduation with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant disciplines. The period of Internship is minimum 2 and maximum 6 months.
Stipend-Based Internship: Conducted bi-annually (summer and winter), this program accepts 30 interns annually (15 per session). Eligible candidates must have at least 65% marks in their last academic program/semester. The period of internship is from 8 to 16 weeks, with stipends of ₹12,000/month for undergraduates and ₹15,000/month for postgraduates.
